Revisiting the Scenario Workshop


One of the highlights from Fridays parallel sessions for sure was the scenario workshop that forced participants to dig deeper into their wishes, visions and fears for the future. By identifying the key drivers that shape the ongoing debate on migration and integration in different EU member states and regions, the scenario exercise outlined current challenges and elaborated consequences for citizenship education in Europe within different possible scenarios from a bright hopeful future to quite bleak outlooks.

Have you noticed that the second day of our conference is going to be a Friday? We did! For that reason we organized the Reception and concert "Pavel" - live at National and University Library in Zagreb, so that you can let all the information and ideas from that day sink in and round off the day by socializing with the other participants while listening to one of the best croatian bands.

NECE News: Parliamentary Elections in Croatia


Nearly one month ago, on 11 September, parliamentary elections were held in Croatia, the host country of the this year‘s NECE conference. It’s the second election within the last two years. In 2015, the government was formed by independent candidate Tihomir Orešković. He was supported by the Patriotic Coalition, consisting of the Croatian Democratic Union (H.D.Z.) and Bridge of Independent Lists (MOST). However, on 20 June the members of parliament voted for the dissolution of the parliament, calling a new election.
